Designed for health professions educators who are involved in designing, implementing, and managing workplace assessment both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Objectives:

participants will

- Gain oversight of the evidence from the literature on the development of workplace based assessment in health sciences education

- Develop deeper understanding of the purposes of WBA

- Become familiar with a range of WBA tools

- Become acquainted with the literature on effective feedback

- Acquire skills in observation, scoring and feedback in the workplace setting

- Develop insights into managing systems of WBA, portfolios and the use of technology
