Since the inaugural meeting in 1970, the Scottsdale Headache Symposium® continues to be a successful venue for providing practical, clinical, evidence-based information on the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with headache. Education is presented in didactic, case-based, evidence-based, panel and demonstrative formats over the course of four days. The Symposium is designed for general practitioners, internists, pediatricians, neurologists, anesthesiologists, dentists, physical therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health professionals who treat headache.

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

At the conclusion of this program, learners will share that they feel better prepared to manage patients presenting with headache conditions by applying best practices in Headache Medicine related to diagnosis, epidemiology, and treatment of headache disorders in adults and children in clinical practice and research, apply cutting-edge approaches to the assessment of outcomes in clinical practice, develop strategies for the treatment of refractory headaches and headaches during pregnancy, and incorporate processes to comply with new documentation requirements and enhance employee retention.
